Biography —
Natalie C. Parker is a program manager at the University of Kansas Institute for Policy & Social Research where she has over a decade of experience in post-award research administration. She is also an author, editor, and community organizer. She has written several award-winning books for teens and young readers and has edited multiple anthologies. Her work has been included in the NPR Best Books list, the Indie Next List, and in Junior Library Guild selections. In addition, Natalie runs Madcap Retreats where she creates programs with a focus on narrowing the gaps between aspiring, marginalized creators and the publishing industry. In this capacity, she has partnered with organizations such as We Need Diverse Books and Reese’s Book Club’s Lit Up Fellowship to offer programs on a national scale. She holds a BA in English Literature and an MA in Gender Studies.
