The Economic Impacts of Renewable Energy Developments on Kansas and Kansas Communities

This project studies the economic impacts of utility-scale solar energy developments in Northeast Kansas. The study considers the impact on the entire state of Kansas and on typical communities, incorporating traditional measurements of economic impact such as employment, income, and taxes. Researchers also discuss the broader implications of solar developments for consumers and businesses. Researchers are estimating the economic benefits of these facilities by pricing the cost of carbon.
