Fred Jones

Fred Jones has served as the Water Resource Manager since 2013. He supervises Water, Wastewater, Water Reuse, and Stormwater Utilities for the City. Prior to his tenure in Garden City, he served as the City Administrator in Lakin, Kansas, where he led the effort to build the first water treatment plant in Kansas specifically for the removal of radionuclides from the drinking water supply. Fred serves on the Board of Southwest Kansas GMD 3, the Upper Arkansas Regional Advisory Committee, the Kansas Section of the WateReuse Association, and is the Vice-Chair of the Kansas Section / American Waterworks Association.
