This project is a mixed-method, community-engaged study of the treatment and social safety landscape in the bi-state Kansas City metropolitan area. Aim 1 is to collect and harmonize publicly available health-justice data for the three for counties, including state-level policy data (Kansas and Missouri), county-level public health and criminal-legal outcomes, and tract-level social and economic factors. Aim 2 is to conduct semi-structured interviews with individuals with substance use disorders residing in advisory board, comprised of people with professional and lived experience related to substance use disorders.
